NIGERIA,WHERE IGNORANCE IS CELEBRATED ABOVE KNOWLEDGE.

REPUTATION IS THE OUTWARD MANIFESTATION OF AN INWARD TRAIT CALLED INTEGRITY. THE SULLIED IMAGE OR REPUTATION OF NIGERIA IS A DIRECT OUTCOME OF ITS ROTTEN SYSTEMS WHERE FALSEHOOD REIGNS ABOVE TRUTH, WHERE MEDIOCRITY REIGNS ABOVE EXCELLENCE, WHERE IGNORANCE IS CELEBRATED ABOVE KNOWLEDGE. WHERE DARKNESS REIGNS OVER LIGHT. WHERE INEQUITY PRESIDES OVER JUSTICE WHERE CROOKEDNESS REIGNS ABOVE STRAIGHTFORWARDNESS. WHERE LAZINESS IS REWARDED AND HARD WORK IS PUNISHED.

LET SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO BUHARI THAT IT WAS THE FAILURE TO REVERSE THESE DEBILITATING TRAITS THAT KILLED NIGERIA.. THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY HAS MOVED ON IN ANTICIPATION OF THE SUCCESSOR-STATES ALREADY EMERGING FROM NIGERIA OF WHICH THE REFERENDUM FOR THE FIRST ONE BEING THE EASTERN HALF OF SOUTHERN NIGERIA, IS ALREADY IN THE CARDS AS WE CAN SEE FROM THE BRITISH PARLIAMENT.

OTHERS ARE AT VARIOUS STAGES OF READINESS ON THE WAY TO EXIT REFERENDUM.
NIGERIA HAD 48 YEARS TO RESTORE EQUITY BUT INSTEAD CHOSE WICKEDNESS.

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday said the major point of concern to him was redeeming Nigeria’s image among nations of the world by eradicating corruption. The President, who spoke in Ile Ife, during the grand finale of the 41st Convocation of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, said efforts are on to recover all national assets that have been looted by various individuals and bodies in the past. He, however, urged all Nigerians, especially job seekers to shun corruption in its entirety, even in the face of living condition that is below optimum; assuring that his administration was working assiduously to better the lot of Nigerians. Regarding high level of unemployment in the country, President Buhari, who was represented at the event by Prof. Julius Okojie, the National Universities Commission, NUC boss, said his administration had made it a top priority to address by bringing on board several entrepreneurship initiatives that would create an enabling environment for job creators to not only thrive but excel. He added: “Promotion of local product, encouragement of the export market, tapping of indigenous raw materials are some of the avenues for this to operate. As fresh graduates with a multitude of invigorating ideas, you are encouraged to forward your proposals under the appropriate parastatals and agencies.” “To the fresh graduates as representatives of your alma mater, OAU, you have a lot to contribute to making this country a place worth living and reducing the brain drain that has plagued us for many years in the past. “A major point of concern is the need to redeem our image in the comity of nations by a complete eradication of the hydra-headed monster of corruption that has lived among us for several years. “Embracing corruption will only take us backwards, soil our good name and destroy our common heritage. I want to believe that I can count on you to individually and collectively improve the image of the country by being worthy ambassadors of your families and of this great and noble institution.” On security, which has been a major source of challenge to the country, President Buhari said he is determined that insurgency in the country will be a thing of the past in very near future. In his remarks, the newly appointed chancellor of the university, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe, lauded the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government, saying tackling the scourge of indiscipline and corruption which had driven the country to the brink of oblivion must be of great importance to all Nigerians. The traditional ruler, who was conferred with Doctor of Letters, D.Litt, Honoris Causa alongside, President, African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, who got honorary degree of Doctor of Science, D.Sc, Honoris Causa, however, appealed to government to sustain industrial harmony and peace by fulfilling wholeheartedly all conditions of its agreement with union staff.
